Candidates will be capable of reading drawings including circuit diagrams or electrical specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or understand previously installed wiring. They will have the capability of installing any required brackets or hangers that may be needed for wiring support and the ability to pull wiring through conduits or holes in the walls or floor. They will also be required to splice and join wires connecting them to fixtures or breaker panels, as well as install or repair the lighting fixtures, electrical controls, switches, or panels they are connecting to. Troubleshooting and isolating faulty components or performing preventive maintenance on systems may also be required from our electrician.

Properly measure, cut, bend or thread pipes using hand tools or machines, join pipes with couplings, clamps, or with cement or soldering.

Working with the project manager, the ideal candidate will work in a team environment where each individual will help complete the construction project on schedule and within the projected budget. They will have an understanding of the construction and installation of a building envelope and may be involved in framing and finish carpentry, constructing forms, or installing peaked and low slope roof systems or foundations. Some projects also have involved the installation of steel studs, ceramic tiles and insulation. Due to multiple ongoing projects the project manager may have to visit other sites leaving employees to work independantly so an understanding of how to read and understand construction drawings will also be seen as an asset.
